Introduction
I have been an Elementary School teacher for 10 years. During this time, I have taught French Immersion at both the Grade 1 and Grade 3 entry levels. While working within an inclusive education system my approach to teaching has always been geared on student readiness, allowing them to lead and become partners in their own learning experiences. I strive to establish an environment within my classroom that is sensitive to student needs and conducive to risk-taking through experiential and inquiry-based learning.
I have a completed Master of Education degree, specializing in Exceptional Learners and am currently a doctoral candidate at the University of New Brunswick, preparing to defend my dissertation. This study focuses on an investigation of a dual-dimensional approach to inclusionary education, incorporating both support-oriented and strength-based approaches to student learning.
